Introduction

Thank you for reading information about the Fertility Quality of Life Project.

We are interested in the opinions of all who are trying to conceive, even those who do not need medical treatment.

It has become increasingly clear that emotional factors are important to consider in helping people experiencing fertility problems. However we do not yet have a good way of measuring the effect of fertility problems. The purpose of this project is to find out the impact of fertility problems on a person's quality of life.

If you agree to participate in this study you will be asked to complete some questions about yourself and your fertility history. You will then be asked to complete a questionnaire about your thoughts and feelings about fertility difficulties and their effect on different aspects of your life. The questionnaire takes about 15 minutes to complete.

In order to ensure that we have a complete picture of how fertility difficulties affect people's lives we invite men and women to participate.

At the end of the project we will post a brief report on this website.

The project has received ethical approval from the School of Psychology, Cardiff University. If you have any questions about this project then please contact the principal investigator Dr Jacky Boivin at boivin@cardiff.ac.uk.
